People see salad as being a healthy food, however, they make it less healthy when they pour dressing all over it. Creamy dressings can add fat and calories to an otherwise healthy meal. To complement a salad, and preserve its nutritive value, try vinaigrette dressing, or some vinegar with a little olive oil. You can also add cranberries or walnuts to your salad.
Start with small steps when trying to improve your diet. Change does not always happen overnight. You also don’t want to provide yourself with too much of a shock by eating foods that you may not even like. Think about trying healthier choices the next month or so, and you will then have made quite a good habit of better eating.
Riboflavin is an essential nutrient and important in a healthy diet. Our body needs to excrete energy taken from protein, fat and carbohydrates stored in the body. You also need it for iron transport and metabolism. The best sources for riboflavin are dairy products or any whole grain.
